Downtown Highland Park: Art In Focus

Arts are alive in Downtown Highland Park with over a dozen art-minded businesses staying open late to welcome you in to celebrate Downtown Highland Park's April Arts in Focus!

 

Stroll the streets and visit the variety of visual, creative, theatrical and musical art businesses that are making Downtown Highland Park become recognized for all of the 'arts' in the Central Business District.

 

Enjoy demonstrations, open house tours, snacks and beverages and meet the artistic owners! Everyone is invited to end the Art Stroll with a showing of Paint, a new film starring Owen Wilson as artist.

Adesso (1813 St. John Ave.) Join the artistic Adesso team for wine and nibbles and learn about the international artisans who make Adesso the shop for all of your special decorative touches. Reactive PEC (1876 First St., Unit B) Tour this one-of-kind art gallery located throughout the gym and meet the entire team. Artwork is presented by Downtown Highland Park's Laughlin Gallery and others. Drinks and snacks will be served. 10% off all personal training packages.

Wayfarer Theaters (1850 Second St.) End your Art Stroll at 8:30 PM with the showing of Paint, a new film starring Owen Wilson as Carl Nargle, who has been hosting his own painting show on Vermont public television for decades. His art captivates and has attracted the attention of many women over the years, especially those who work at the station. But Carl is in a rut, and the station isn’t pulling in ratings. When a new painter is hired to revitalize the channel, Carl’s own fears regarding his talents as a painter are brought to the forefront.

 

YogaSix Highland Park (610 Central Ave., Suite 173) Learn about the 'Art of Yoga' as you tour the studio. Take a spin at the raffle wheel for a chance to win a free month and swag.
